Frank and Oak: Yak Wool Diaries
Frank And Oak partnered with Aditi Mayer to tell the story of a new yak wool collection that supports grassland regeneration in the Himalayan highlands. Together, they wove the story of the ecological and cultural implications of yak wool– tied to the ancient practice of nomadic pastoralism in the Tibetan Plateau. Every fiber in fashion tells a deeper story of land and culture, providing an example of the ways that brands can not only look into the carbon implications of the materials they source, but also the ways they can create larger, symbiotic relationships with the communities their materials come from.
